FANS of the Blues Brothers are in for a treat if they attend an ale festival over the weekend.
The 12th Wedmore Real Ale Festival will see a selection of 60 real ales, food and music acts entertain the crowd at Wedmore Village Hall from September 14 to 16.
Chris Perry, who helped organise the event, said: “We’re always so glad to see so many lovely people at the beerfest. We do sincerely hope everyone will enjoy the beer, ciders and wines.”
Door open at 7pm on Friday with Crosswired headlining the evening’s entertainment, supported by DJ Enhance, along with a BBQ and hog roast.
Saturday and Sunday mornings will see traditional pub games and a family atmosphere, followed by Kick the Cat performing on Saturday evening and inspiring the theme of the event with their music. No under 18s are permitted after 8pm on either evenings.
The festival finishes with an auction and organisers are appealing for prizes and lots. If you have an item /service/promise that you wish to donate or if you would like to volunteer during the festival, contact Chris Perry on 07793 597315.
The Wedmore Real Ale Festival has raised and donated over £76,000 to charity in the past 11 years. For more information click here
