Cooking up a harvest supper at Berrow

THESE hard-working women were among the cooks who helped put on an annual harvest support for the Burnham Lodge of Moose International.

The event at the fraternal organisation which was attended by more than 80 people was held on Saturday night at Berrow Village Hall.

Entertainment was provided by the Berrow Whalers, featuring old-time music hall with singing, short sketches and jokes.

A raffle raised £123 and the auction £76, and the proceeds will be distributed at the ladies’ annual charity cheque presentation in the spring.

Lady president Rita Harris said; “It was a brilliant evening with plenty to eat in amongst great friends.

“I thank all those who attended and especially the Ladies Circle for all their hard work.”
