Highbridge Young Farmers kept busy
MEMBERS of Highbridge Young Farmers said a sad farewell at their annual meeting to their much-loved president, Cecil Tripp, who has retired after many years, with Wendy Baker taking over.
The club presented £2,500 to Somerset Young Farmers (see photo, left) and £1,000 to road safety charity BRAKE.
The meeting, held at the Fox and Goose Inn in Brent Knoll, reflected on a particularly busy year.
Activities have included an Olympic-themed Boxing Day boogie, sausage-making, flower arranging, skiing, ice skating and an It’s A Knockout competition.
