DOZENS of hardy athletes braved the sea off Burnham as part of a triathlon.
More than 70 competitors took to the water for a 1,500m swim in Bridgwater Bay, before cycling 40km to Wedmore, via Brent Knoll, and finishing with a 10km run along the sea front.
Andrew Martin of Pencoed Tri club was the first competitor home in the event at the weekend.
