Police chopper flying time could be reduced
A NATIONWIDE police helicopters scheme could result in the number of flying hours in the Avon and Somerset force area dropping from 700 to 560, Avon and Somerset Assistant Chief Constable Rod Hansen claims.
The police authority has refused to sign up to the initiative as it could result in extra costs for the constabulary.
