A SUPER slimmer from Burnham made the semi-finals of a national competition.
After losing over four-and-a-half stone, Kelly-Marie French Bell earned a place as one of just 47 women to reach the finals of Slimming World’s Woman of the Year 2012.
The 28-year-old, who dropped from almost 17 stone to 12st 2lb since joining the group in January last year, was congratulated on her weight loss by Emmerdale actor and Dancing on Ice winner Matthew Wolfenden at a Slimming World event earlier this month.
She said: “I’d tried so many times and so many ways to lose weight before, usually depriving myself of the foods I enjoy, counting calories and going hungry, so unsurprisingly my attempts usually failed miserably.
“Slimming World was completely different to anything I’d known before. I did have to make changes to the way that I cooked and ate, of course, but they were small changes made easy.”
