BURNHAM and District Lions celebrated their club’s 37th anniversary at the Oaktree Arena in Highbridge.
Club president Les Barber and his wife Sue welcomed 74 guests including Burnham Mayor Martin Cox, Lions district governor Marianne Warren, Pat and Beryl Scott, proprietors of the Ritz Cinema in Burnham, and Rotarian Ashley Edwards.
Mr Barber said: “It was a fantastic evening. My thanks to all who came and made it such a successful evening.
“We work hard helping others in our community, either by raising cash or providing service to those in need; it was great to celebrate the foundation of our club in such a positive way.”
