A WIDOWER from Ireland is making a last attempt to find his only living relatives, whom he believes may be in the Burnham area.

John Kelleher (pictured) of Castleroy, Limerick, is trying to track down his last blood relatives after becoming estranged from his family over the years.

John’s relative, Albert Staehli, was the first husband of the late Sybil Kathleen Smith, married in Westonsuper- Mare during World War Two.

The couple had a son, Anthony, who later took the name of Sybil’s second husband, Bill Norris.

Anthony emigrated to the USA but passed away in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2012. Sybil, who was a councillor in Burnham, and Bill Norris lived in the Burnham area until Sybil died in 1992.

The Weekly News was contacted by Claire Jordan, a friend of John’s, who works as a military researcher.

Claire said: “If anyone has any information about relatives of Sybil and Bill Norris or their son Anthony R Norris, John would very much like to hear from them.

It would mean a great deal to him.” Y
