RESIDENTS campaigning against a wind farm near Burnham are celebrating after the deadline passed for the company to lodge a further appeal to get it built.

Broadview Energy wanted to build four 130-metre tall wind turbines at land at Pilrow Farm, Rooksbridge.

The company appealed against planning refusals from Sedgemoor District Council which were dismissed but they had, until this week, the chance to call for a judicial review.

Residents action group Say No to Pilrow has fought a long campaign against the plans and was celebrating the news this week.

However there remains the possibility that Broadview may consider submitting an amended planning application to Sedgemoor.
