A WOMAN has been arrested following a stabbing in the centre of Burnham which put a man in hospital last night (Tuesday).
Police set up a cordon in part of Burnham's High Street next to Lloyds Bank at 7.20pm after police received reports of the incident.
The Esso petrol station was also sealed off by police as part of their investigation.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his arm.
"The injuries are not thought to be life threatening."
It was rumored that a witness saw a trail of blood leading along Princess Street and toward the Esso petrol station.
The area was re-opened shortly after 9pm once a forensic team had gathered evidence in the High Street.
Police are now asking for anyone who may have witnessed the domestic stab attack to contact them by calling 101.
