A TALENTED group of dancers have enjoyed recent success after competing in the British Open Irish Dancing Championships in Birmingham.
The girls, who attend lessons in East Huntspill, have now qualified to dance in the European and World Championships in Germany next year.
Their dance instructor, Catherine Bartlett, who has been teaching Irish dancing in Somerset for 25 years, told the Weekly News: “They are all really keen and I am absolutely pleased to see them going through and qualifying.
“They all did between five and seven different solo dances each and either won their class or qualified.”
Anyone who would like to join the Bartlett School of Irish Dance, which practices three times a week in East Huntspill Church Hall, can contact Catherine on 01278 795891 or 07590 323729.
