VISITORS shopped for a cure for cancer at the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Christmas Fair in Berrow last weekend.
Plenty to see and buy included cards, decorations, food and a raffle and the event raised £820 for the charity.
Organiser Holly MacBeth, from Somerset Breathrough Breast Cancer Group, said: “This was the best event we’ve ever had.
“What an amazing day, so many loyal supporters and new faces, too, who came out to see us today.
“I can’t tell you how happy and proud we are to announce we raised a fantastic £820. A huge amount – and your generosity never fails to amaze us every year.
A massive thanks has to go to all the stallholders, old and new, plus the lovely Bristol & North Somerset Mascots, who blew everyone away with their kindness, talent and love for being the character they portrayed.
“I don’t think I will be able to get the image of all those happy and amazed children singing and having hugs with them today for a while.
“None of today would be possible without all of the group and supporters who helped either before the event with promotion, poster drops, donations of prizes, beautiful cakes, behind the scenes and helping on all the stalls.”
