EXPECTING parents are being urged to discuss their parental leave with employers as the Shared Parental Leave becomes available across the UK.
There are just eight weeks to go until mums and dads with babies due on or after April 5 can start sharing up to 50 weeks of parental leave.
Now the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills is advising expectant parents to have that all-important conversation with their employers.
To find out if you are eligible for Shared Parental Leave visit www.gov.uk/payleaveforparents or for more information visit the website at www.acas.org.uk/SPL.
