YOUNGSTERS across Burnham and Highbridge are being encouraged to spend more time exploring the great outdoors with a new Easter egg trail at Brean Down.

The National Trust is inviting young visitors to become an ‘Eggsplorer’ for the day and follow hidden clues to claim a Cadbury chocolate Egghead.

The rangers at Brean Down have created the trails, which will lead families around the countryside site, with the reward of an Easter egg at the end.

Additionally, it is the aim of the trails to provide children of all ages with the opportunity to learn more about the sites they’re visiting and take in the fresh air.

The trails at Brean Down will have a bird theme, with the chance for hands-on craft activities and to build a giant bird’s nest.

The trails at Brean Down cost £2.50 and will be held on Friday, April 3, from 11-2pm. For more information visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/brean-down
