STAFF and pupils of Brent Knoll C of E Primary School have been celebrating after they were awarded a ‘good’ rating following a recent visit by Ofsted inspectors.

During their visit, the inspectors noted that there was a “positive” relationship between staff and pupils at the school and commended the behaviour of the children, remarking that it was “often exemplary”.

Inspectors also singled out headteacher Chris Burman for praise saying: “The calm and quietly determined leadership of the new head teacher has united staff and improved teaching and pupils’ achievement.”

Hugh Mackay, the chair of governors, said: “I congratulate all the school staff and pupils for their hard work in achieving the good judgement in all areas, and thank the parents, carers and governors for their great support. “It was a team effort all round.”
