A TODDLER group has raised cash for a meningitis charity after a staff member and two children suffered from the killer illness.
Youngsters aged from two to four and staff from Tadpoles Pre-School in Brent Knoll were joined by parents, grandparents and Chris Burman from Brent Knoll Primary School for the Big Toddle Waddle 2015.
The walk was to the top of Brent Knoll to raise funds for Meningitis Now. One of the children Rosie, now three, was struck down with meningitis as was toddler group leader Cathy Hurley’s daughter Lauren and staff member Sacha Thompson.
Cathy said: “We had a fantastic turn-out with nearly 50 parents and children turning up. I am so pleased that we managed once again to raise funds for Meningitis Now.”
Cathy wishes to thank all sponsors and the parents, grandparents and teachers and staff for helping to make the event a success.
