BURNHAM's Manor Gardens was packed with families and live music fans on Sunday as the first free outdoor music event of the year kicked off the summer in style.

After a slow start, hundreds of people came to enjoy a raft of bands and singers through the afternoon at the Party in the Park, with nearly 500 gathering to enjoy the last act of the day, and while the music was the main draw there was plenty of fun for younger visitors on offer Headlined by The Lipinski Bros Band, Party In The Park was called another “very successful event” by Mike Murphy from organisers CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society.

The outdoor gig also saw The Crafters, The Dex, The Kassio Band and Maya Rose take to the stage. The next free event for music lovers at the gardens, Jazz in the Park, set to take place on June 7.
