PUPILS at Weare Academy First School enjoyed a week of celebrations to mark the school’s 120th birthday.
Children and staff enjoyed a range of activities including Victorian dancing and recreating the fabulous designs of William Morris.
Youngsters also took part in the Victorian School experience when they dressed up in Victorian costume and experienced sitting in rows, writing on slates and copybook writing with dip pens and ink.
Children from Reception to Year 4 made a clay frieze to commemorate the occasion.
The school will also be holding the Weare School Summer Fun Night, on Friday, July 10, which will also have a Victorian Funfair theme.
