THERE will be fun for all the family next week when Warren Farm Holiday Centre in Brean host their charity Summer Fête next week.

The event will feature traditional village stocks as well as other stalls and games to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West.

The fun will take place at Warren Farm’s clubhouse, The Beachcomber on Saturday June 20 from midday.

Mike Harris, director at Warren Farm Holiday Centre, said: “We’ve got an action-packed day planned for our annual Summer Fête at The Beachcomber.

“People will have the opportunity to throw wet sponges at a person sitting in traditional village stocks. We’re also looking for volunteers to brave the stocks themselves if they dare!

“There will be a rodeo bull at the fête and the person who stays on the longest will receive a prize. Other stalls on offer include a tombola, hook a duck, buzz wire and much more.”

Entertainment will be provided by The Little Stage Company. There will also be a barbecue with snacks available to purchase.

Anybody that would like to volunteer for the stocks can sign up on the day.

Mike continued: “Everyone is welcome at our family fun day and there is an optional ‘beach party’ fancy dress theme.

“We’re pleased to be supporting Children’s Hospice South West this year and we hope all visitors enjoy the festivities, knowing it’s all in aid of such a worthy cause.”

Proceeds from the fête will be donated to Children’s Hospice South West. Volunteers from the charity will have a stall at the event.
