VOLUNTEERS at an animal rescue centre in East Huntspill say a Portakabin that was originally used by builders has changed the way animals are treated at the centre.

The Portakabin at Secret World Wildlife Rescue was installed just over a year ago and is now providing the charity with muchneeded space for assessments and veterinary procedures.

When a wildlife casualty comes through the doors, it is taken straight to the Portakabin for assessment. Animals in need of intensive care can also be kept here for observation and treatment.

Pauline Kidner of Secret World said: “It’s great to have this dedicated space for us to assess and treat casualties.

“It’s a bigger and better ventilated space than our old assessment room. “Thanks to Portakabin for installing it – we think our assessment room just shows what a diverse range of uses Portakabins can have.”
