Runners flock to Highbridge's first Parkrun
RUNNERS from across the region came to Highbridge on Saturday (June 20) to take part in the town’s first Parkrun.
More than 140 athletes took part in what will now be a series of weekly runs through Apex Park as part of the national Parkrun initiative.
The run has been jointly funded by Somerset County Council, Sedgemoor District Council and Burnham and Highbridge Town Council with the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of local people.
The races which are free to enter will take place every Saturday at 9am in Apex Park.
