BURNHAM businesses have been thriving over the Easter period thanks to the beautiful weather seen in the area recently.
Visitors have flocked to Burnham's beaches, as well as surrounding towns and villages to enjoy the sun and everything else on offer over the holidays.
Families have bought their children along to visit while they have been off school, and this has resulted in a big boost for the Somerset economy.
Louise Parkin from the Burnham Pavilion said: "The Easter holidays have been absolutely fantastic, lovely. We couldn't have asked for a better couple of weeks in terms of the weather, and trade here has definitely picked up as a result."
As the rain clouds have gathered this week, Louise is unconcerned by the lack of sunshine now: "We're not too worried that the sun seems to have disappeared, I'm sure it will come back.
"You have to look on the positive side, and we expected business to slack off a bit this week due to the school holidays having finished."
