The free Apex Park Playday has been declared a 'huge success' by Sedgemoor District council after 8,000 people turned out despite mixed weather.
The event, which was held last Wednesday (August 5), and included activities such as inflatables and a climbing wall was run at a cost of under £1 per visitor.
Rosie Pike, Chair of Playday Committee, said "Donations from 2015 are still being counted but we hope to match, if not beat, the £1127 raised on Playday 2014.
"On behalf of the committee I would like to thank all those families who contributed towards supporting next year’s event, the event can not run without public support."
