AN OVEN fire caused panic for residents at a property in Highburn Close in Burnham this afternoon.
One engine from Burnham and two frim Bridgwater were sent to the property at 12.15pm to alerts of a fire within the oven in the kitchen.
The occupier had extinguished the fire using a dry powder extinguisher.
Crews made sure the area was safe and gave suitable advice to the occupier.
An ambulance was requested to attend to check the occupant for the effects of smoke inhalation, but did not go to hospital.
Duty of care was left with the occupiers.
