EVERYONE is going Radio Ga Ga over the latest announcement surrounding a popular animal rescue centre.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill is holding its 13th Auction and Ball at the Webbington Hotel on November 28.

With many items being donated, in a musical twist that is sure to catch the eye of many enthusiastic bidders, an electric guitar signed by rock legend, Brian May, is to be auctioned off.

The guitar is dark blue with animals such as badgers and foxes painted up the neck and badgers painted on the main body.

Brian, of Queen fame, agreed to sign the instrument for the rescue centre as he supports the work they do with wildlife.

Founder of the charity, Pauline Kidner, said: "Someone gave us a guitar and one of our volunteers, April Dunnett, has painted the frets with badgers, deer, foxes and many other animals.

"Brian is very supportive of our work especially with badgers and we were so pleased when he agreed to sign it for us."

The auction and ball evening is themed as a Haunted Castle and entertainment will be provided by ten-piece band, Area 52.

This is the largest fundraising event that Secret World hold every year.

More than 100 items will be silently auctioned off, with 12 main items hoping to catch the eye of eager bidders.

These include a chance to be in the audience in the One Show as well as a tour around the BBC.

As well as this, you can spend a day with Simon King O.B.E. and visit his Wild Meadows where amazing countryside photography has taken place, and the opportunity to be a vet for a day.

Brian's signed guitar is a big front runner.

Pauline added: "Sealed bids will be accepted for the guitar up to 12 noon on Friday 27, but if you want to be sure of winning the guitar you need to be at the auction."

Tickets for the event cost £40 and include for a three course meal, casino, auction and dance.

Guests need to arrive by 6.30pm.
