BURNHAM residents looking to get more active in the great outdoors are being encouraged to take park in weekly health walks in the area.

Sedgemoor District Council and Zing Somerset have teamed up to offer free social weekly health walks in May from Burnham's Marine Cove Gardens.

The next health walk will take place from the Marine Cove, situated on The Esplanade next to St Andrew's Church, on Wednesday, April 27, starting at 10am.

This walk will then be followed by weekly Wednesday walks in May, on the 4th, 11th 18th and 25th.

The walk will take in a circular route to Apex Park incorporating The Esplanade, River Brue and Marine Drive and will be undertaken on flat level terrain suitable for families and are likely to take up to an hour.

All walks are led by a trained walk leader andwWell-behaved dogs that are kept on leads at all times are welcome.
