IT was a record breaking turn out for this year's Burnham-on-Sea Super Sprint Triathlon.
More than 300 competitors across a range of age groups turned out to take part in the event on Sunday April 17.
Along with the main triathlon, there was also a junior triathlon race, with both being organised by Burnham-on-Sea Swim and Sports Academy.
The adult participants completed a tough 250 metre swim, followed by a 10km bike ride and a 2.5km run, whilst the youngsters endured a shorter course that took them along the seafront and the beach.
Winning the super sprint event was Thomas Kerfoot, in a time of 31:41.
The winners of the TriStar events were George Mahon, Lawrence Martingdale, Harry O'Donoghue, Macy Noad, Alexandra Palotai-Avella and Daisy Davies.
Sara Cox Conklin from Burnham-on-Sea Swim and Sports Academy said how the event had a really good turn out.
