TWO vehicles were involved in a crash on the M5 near Burnham-on-Sea which caused delays for motorists.

The incident happened on Sunday, just before 2pm, and blocked one lane of the M5.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called to reports of a two person road traffic collision shortly after 2pm.

"It happened a quarter of a mile before junction 21 northbound.

"One of the vehicles involved ended up on the hard shoulder, the other one blocked lane one and had to be moved, which caused some tailbacks.

"No one was injured and the motorway was clear by 2.40pm."
