BURNHAM Camera Club celebrated the success of their eighth annual exhibition last week.

The club greeted over 120 members of the public during Saturday’s show of talented images.

Visitors were also able to relax over a coffee, whilst they discussed the display, and fretted over how to choose ‘best in show’, due to the high standard of exhibits this year.

Chairman Mike Lang said: “Thanks to our committee, and supporting club members who worked as a focussed team.

“The standard of exhibits was again high, and even higher than last year.

“We are a friendly club, and anyone is welcome to join, at any level.”

The event was held for the second year, in the Baptist Church Hall, College Street.

Visitors enjoyed the event, with many leaving positive comments in the visitors’ book.

‘Best in show’ was a photograph of a fox in a tree by member David Williams, voted for by a huge majority, and the relevant trophy will be presented at the earliest opportunity.

Committee member Tim Donovan added, on the club flickr group: “Burnham-On-Sea camera club put on another successful exhibition yesterday.

“All who came to support would have seen some very talented photographers, all of whom had put in a lot of time and effort.

“We are now looking forward to many different events taking place at the club nights.”

Burnham-on-Sea Camera club is now starting its ninth year, and it accommodates a members pool of all skill levels, ranging from absolute beginners to experts specialising in their respective fields.

For anyone interested in becoming part of the camera club, they meet at the Bay centre every Tuesday between 7.15pm and 9.15pm.
