HOLIDAYMAKERS in Brean had a shock over breakfast this morning when they spotted a crocodile in a resort's fishing lake.

Several calls were made to the Holiday Resort Unity about the sighting, and the resort's conservation team were sent to investigate.

They too were shocked when they spotted the head of a crocodile in the lake - but luckily when it was recovered, it was found to be a lifelike replica.

he 'crocodile' had been taken from the neighbouring Brean Leisure Park’s Congo adventure crazy golf course during the night.

The crocodile has now been returned to its rightful home.

Resort owner, Alan House, said: “We were obviously very shocked to receive calls about a crocodile spotted in our fishing lake.

"It must have taken a great deal of effort to have pulled off this prank, which gave us, and some of our resort guests quite a shock (and a laugh) this morning.

"The crocodile has now been returned to its rightful home at the Congo Adventure Golf at Brean Leisure Park”.
