A BURNHAM-ON-SEA pensioner has appeared in court and admitted sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl.
Cyril Jenkins, 67, from Grove Road in Burnham appeared in Taunton Crown Court via videolink from prison in Exeter on Friday, January 6 and pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a child which dated between July and November of 2016.
Recorder Malcolm Galloway adjourned the sentencing to allow for a pre-sentence report but placed Jenkins on the sex offenders register.
Jenkins was remanded in custody and the next hearing will take place on Friday, February 10
