THE Environment Agency has issued flood warnings along the Somerset coast for tonight and tomorrow.
The EA say moderate to strong onshore winds from the west will persist for the mojority of the week, which will cause sea levels to rise further than forecast in tide tables.
The first expected high tide is tonight at 6.45pm, and warnings have been issued for Porlock Weir, Dunster Beaches, Blue Anchor, Steart, Stolford and Brean.
A spokesman for the EA said: "The forecast tide level is 6.29m AOD. The forecast wind strength and direction is Force 6 gusting Force 7 north westerly at the time of high watera and this may result in spray overtopping.
"The time and date of the second forecast high water is 7:15am on Thursday. The forecast tide level is 6.20 m AOD."
