BREAN Play has raised £200 for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) through a christmas charity campaign.

Brean Play, located at Brean Leisure Park raised the funds through its ‘Childrens Christmas Cheer’ charity campaign.

The play centre presented a cheque to Janey Hellmen, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) on January 17.

Kieran Spottiswoode Director said: "Project Christmas Cheer was our chance to raise some money for this important charity but also to get those involved within the charity to come and have some fun time at Brean Play.

"We are really pleased to hear they had a great time and our grateful for our visitors who donated."

As well as the donation, Brean Play held a free Christmas party for ten children who are supported by CHSW to allow the children to play, have a Christmas meal and visit with Father Christmas with gift.

For every hot drink purchased by visitors to Brean Play throughout November and December, a donation of 10p was made for childrens charities and hospices in the county.

Brean Play asked customers to nominate a childrens charity / hospice in the region and Childrens Hospice South West received the highest number of nominations.

The charity provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West.

The care offered is wide ranging; respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care.
