A CARE Hospice is encouraging people to make a will as part of 'Make Your Will' week.

Weston Hospicecare has got support from five solicitors who will be giving their time free of charge to write standard single and mirror wills for people in return for a donation to the charitable hospice.

Sally Davis, fundraising and events manager at Weston Hospicecare said: “Everyone should make a Will, because without one, you have no control over who is entitled to your money and property when you are no longer around.

“This special week is an excellent opportunity for local people to make or update their Will whilst supporting a great local cause at the same time.”

“We really appreciate the solicitors giving their time, free of charge, to help Weston Hospicecare.

"Last year, 111 local people made with Will during Make Your Will Week and gained the reassurance of knowing that their Will had been prepared by an expert professional.”

Make Your Will Week, which runs from February 27 and March 3, has been going on for several years, and donations made during last year’s Make Your Will Week raised a13,230 for Weston Hospicecare.

The money raised goes toward funding the hospice’s services, which include physical care and emotional, social, psychological and spiritual support.

Burnham-on-Sea's Holley and Steer solicitors will be getting involved as well as Bartlett Gooding and Weelen, Bennetts,  John Hodge Solicitors, Powells Law, and Wards Solicitors.
