BEEN enjoying the mild weather we've had the past few days?

Well unfortunately it's set to come to an end this Thursday, (February 23), as the Met Office predicts we'll be experiencing some strong winds and heavy rain thanks to Storm Doris.

The South West looks like it will escape the brunt of the storm, which is more likely to hit the north of the UK.

But we will be in for some pretty big gusts of 50-60 mph and some heavy rain.

The chief forecaster for the Met Office said: "A developing area of low pressure is expected to move across the UK on Thursday.

"A period of very strong winds are likely across the warning area with some disruption expected.

"However a small swathe of very strong winds could cause more widespread disruption across part of the warning area, which is covered by a separate amber warning."

Let's enjoy this mild spell while we can then...
