Crews called to chimney fire near Burnham
FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a home near Burnham after reports of a chimney fire.
One fire ingine from Burnham-on-Sea was sent to West Close in Mark shortly before 8pm last night (March 16).
On arrival crews confirmed there was a fire in the upper section of the chimney and got to work extinguishing the fire using chimney rods and a hose reel jet through the inspection plate.
The fire was confirmed as out at 9.39pm and duty of care was left with the occupier.
