A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a crash on the M5 after a vehicle carrying livestock overturned.
Congestion was building on the northbound carriage between Junction 23 Bridgwater and 22 Burnham-on-Sea.
Two of three lanes were closed.
It is believed there was a crash involving a car and trailer carrying livestock around 10.30am (June 15).
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called around 10.30am to reports of a car towing a trailer that had overturned. The trailer is carrying livestock.
"The car ended up on its side and the trailer was upright.
"There is some damage to the central barrier.
"One woman has been taken to hospital with minor injuries."

There has also been a crash on the southbound carriage way between the two junctions where one lane of three has been closed.
