AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a man suffered a head injury following an assault in Burnham-on-Sea.
Police were called at 8.15pm on Sunday (March 4) to the former S&A Linens store on High Street following reports of an assault.
A 60-year-old man suffered a head injury and was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police, said: "We are investigating an incident which happened between 7.30pm and 8pm on Sunday, March 4.
"A 60-year-old victim was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital after suffering a head injury.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
