A MAN has died after the mobility scooter he was travelling in was hit by a 4X4 in Burnham.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the man, in his eighties, died in the collision in Adam Street yesterday.
PC Fyfe from Avon and Somerset Collision Investigation Unit said: “At about 11.50am, a Nissan Navara was travelling along Oxford Street and having turned into Adam Street, was in collision with the man who was on his mobility scooter.
“The gentleman, in his 80s, was taken to hospital but sadly died later that day.
“We’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.”
