A BURNHAM-on-Sea foster carer is set to take on an Ultra Challenge Walk to raise money for the NSPCC.
David Stacey set himself the gruelling challenge of walking 50km in a day from Bath to Wooton under Edge to help the NSPCC with their work to end child abuse.
David said the charity is close to his heart.
"Last year I did a five peak challenge in Somerset with people from Somerset County Council to raise money for looked after children," David said.
"This year I am raising money for the NSPCC to help them in their great work in giving all children a voice and to help their work in putting an end to child abuse."
David has been training since September last year and hopes to raise £250 for the charity.
"I walk most weekends anywhere from six to 25 miles from Burnham to Brean then maybe on to Weston and back," David said.
"I would be really grateful if people donated and supported me."
David will walking from Bath to Wooton under Edge on June 30 at 8am.
