BURNHAM RNLI helped fanatic Edwin Shackleton add three more modes of transport to his record-breaking list during a visit to the town.
Edwin has flown in most types of aircraft as a passenger earning him a place in ten editions of the Guinness Book of Records since 1990.
His record total includes 860 aircraft including light planes, airliners and military machines as well as dozens of helicopters and gliders.
As a sideline, Edwin is bidding to experience 100 different types of travel on land, sea and air in the UK this year.
After spending the day with volunteers from Burnham RNLI he upped his total so far from 94 to 97 - leaving him just three off his goal.
In the first ride, Rodney Southwell took Edwin out in his sailing cruiser 'Walrus', and then while he was out at sea he was transferred to the Bridgwater pilot's craft before returning to shore.
And finally to complete his hat-trick the determined pensioner was given a ride in the lifeboat's hi-tech soft-track launching tractor rounding off a very successful day.
