BURNHAM venue the Old Pier Tavern was rocking on Saturday night as prize-winning band Men In Spex took to the stage.
The group, consisting of drummer Martin Gibson, guitarist Robin Gordon Stables, lead singer Nick Grimsley and bassist Neil Richards, were given national airtime after winning a Radio 2 competition in September.
They scooped first place in Patrick Kielty's Last Chance Saloon and spent a day at his studios in London before their song Say What You Want was played live to millions of listeners.
Neil, of East Brent, and Nick, of Brean, said the band had a great time on Saturday night supported by recently reformed local group Junction 22.
They said: “It was nice to see a good crowd having a good time! Thanks to Martin Taylor at the Pier and to everyone who came along, we really enjoyed ourselves.”
