PEOPLE have helped to add a splash of colour to Burnham’s BAY centre.

The centre’s main hall was looking run down, so BAY committee members held a weekend painting party when walls were washed, rubbed and repainted.

BAY chair Julia Elswood, who was on painting duty, said: “The centre is a registered charity and the groups within it pay rent to help cover our running costs.

“We, the committee, decided to concentrate on giving our groups a smarter operating environment, concurrently with raising money for our new roof covering.”

BAY vice-chair Mike Lang said: “We owe a lot to our maintenance team of Jim, Doreen and Warren Frape, Ian Reid, Peter Harling, Jan Bonus, and Lions club members Greg Kelloway and Andrew Bryant.”
