A 48-year-old man from Highbridge died yesterday (Tuesday) in a single car collision in Bridgwater, police have confirmed.
The man was travelling north along the A38 when his Citroen Xantia car hit a tree shortly before the Dunball roundabout at about 2pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A five-year-old boy was also in the car and was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital as a precaution but was unharmed.
Police say an investigation into the collision is on-going.
