SECRET World Wildlife Rescue will be holding its annual Healing Weekend on July 10, 11 and 12.

Now in its seventh year, organisers Elaine Fenton and Ron Tropman are ready to welcome even more people to the event, which supports Secret World Wildlife Rescue and local businesses.

This year there will be over 180 exhibitors, around 90 workshops, lots of music, performances and evening shows to enjoy.

Elaine said that everyone at the event is especially looking forward to welcoming Gracie Wickens-Sweet to the stage, following her huge success on this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, as well as a special guest appearance by Australian vocalist Lou Van Stone.

She added: “The Healing Weekend is now one of the best loved events of its kind in the UK, attracting thousands of visitors from as far as Australia, Spain, Germany and Holland.

“We have an amazing array of stands and exhibitions for people to browse and enjoy, plus a full programme of workshops which run throughout the three days.

“This really is a first class event Somerset can be proud of, supporting the charity Secret World.

“If you have not visited before, you are in for a truly memorable experience, one the whole family can enjoy.”

The event is open from 10am to 6pm daily.

Admission is £5, and entry to all workshops in any one day requires a £5 wristband which can be bought from the ticket office once inside the event.

There are on-site caterers all weekend and plenty of fun things for the children to do.

Camping can be booked online through Secret World via their website secretworld.org/Event/the-healing-weekend For detailed up to date programme information, and how to get to the event, visit thehealingweekend.co.uk or call Ron on 05601-132745 or Elaine on 01736-366579.
