A HORSE was rescued by fire crews yesterday after becoming stuck in a river in Mark.
An engine from Burnham and the specialist rescue team from Bridgwater were mobilised to the incident just before 6pm.
They found the horse stuck in a rhyne and were attempting to lead the horse back up the rhyne to a cut out.
At 7.23pm, the crews had managed to lead the horse out of the rhyne safely and the horse was left in the hands of its owner.
