Fire at fish and chip shop in Highbridge
FISH and chip lovers in Highbridge had to do without this morning following a fire in Church Street.
Engines from Bridgwater and Burnham on Sea were sent to a fish and chip shop at 11.46am.
On arrival, crews located a fire within a deep fat fryer which was out on arrival.
Crews carried out a safety inspection.
No fire fighting action was carried out by the fire service.
