A MAN was apprehended by police in the early hours of this morning after a member of the public raised concerns for their welfare.
Police were called at 5.21am to Mark Road near Highbridge afte a member of the public sounded the alarm.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: " We were called at 5.21am to Mark Road near Highbridge on the M5 after concerns were raised by a member of the public for the welfare of a man.
"Officers made their way to the bridge at 6am and detained a man safely into the care of mental health services."
