A SHEEP has been rescued by firefighters after it was found stuck in a water filled ditch.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 6.16am today (April 17) to help the distressed sheep on Burnham Moor Lane in Highbridge.
One pump from Burnham-on-Sea station and the specialist rescue team from Bridgwater, along with two specialist officers, were mobilised to assist.
The first crew in attendance located the sheep and found it was stuck in a bramble hedge.
One crew released the ewe unharmed.
