A HIGHBRIDGE man has been on trial this week accused of raping two other women.
Richard Anderson, 34, of Moorland Road, Highbridge, denied five counts of rape ahead of the trial, which started at Taunton Crown Court yesterday (Monday).
Mr Anderson also previously pleaded not guilty to causing a woman to engage in sexual activity without consent with an unknown man; intimidating a witness with the intention of obstructing or perverting the course of justice; assault by beating; and damaging a car.

Following his arrest, it is alleged Mr Anderson got into his victim's house in the early hours, woke her up and told her to drop the charges before she managed to call the police and he ran off.
He was later arrested and it was discovered that her car had been damaged.
The trial continues.
